Studying with an apprenticeship means you can achieve a high quality, internationally recognised qualification, at the same time as earning a wage and getting on-the-job experience.
Not to mention a whopping 81% of our apprentices stay in employment after qualifying, 74% with the same employer they trained with.
Apprenticeships are designed for learners aged 16 and over (conditions apply) and are made up of:
- an Level 2 or 3 in your chosen area (e.g. hairdressing)
- employment rights and responsibilities
- functional skills training in Maths and English (we also offer ICT but this is not a compulsory part of all apprenticeship programmes)
- a technical certificate (only applies to Customer Service and Management programmes)
Most apprenticeships will take at least twelve months to succesfully complete, and you can expect a minimum working week of 30 hours, with a minimum wage of £3.50, rising to £3.70 in April 2018.
Once you’ve achieved your qualification there’s also the opportunity to move on to an advanced Level 3 apprenticeship and further develop and enhance the skills and experience you’ve already gained.
